WORKSHOP: Transitioning the Farm/Ranch to the Next Generation!

In partnership with UofA Cooperative Extension and the AZ Farm Bureau, Arizona Land and Water Trust is putting on a workshop geared towards aiding farmers/ranchers to transition their farm/ranch to the next generation.

There will be an Estate Planning attorney to talk about how to legally protect the farm/ranch (and family) as well as a panel of farmers/ranchers to talk about how they are dealing with the transition.

I hope to see some of you there! I plan on attending.

National Ag Day is Wednesday!

This Wednesday marks National Ag Day. There will be local events across the country to help share the importance of agriculture to our food, fiber, and fuel, and show much-needed appreciation for what agricultural does for our communities.

As part of these efforts, Agri-Pulse will be holding events and discussion on "Farm to Fork Politics: Unleashing Innovation in Agriculture," this Tuesday in Washington, D.C.

National Ag Day is part of the larger celebration of National Ag Week March 15-20, 2015. The National Ag Day website contains a full list of events happening in our Nation’s Capital as well as information and materials for use at local events. The website also provides education materials and event ideas and planning tips to host your own event and the option to order an official 2015 Ag Day Poster
